ProCure Laboratories

ProCure Laboratories Ltd is a new stem cell company which is focused on three areas of stem cell research and development.

 

 

  1. the development of novel stem cell preparations and reagents for the research laboratory market 
  2. the longer term development of novel MSC related proprietary cells for therapeutic applications in orthopaedic diseases, auto-immune diseases and cancer and 
  3. provision of umbilical cord banking services.


The company has access to a range of equipment and systems including FACS, animals, and animal models. Its initial focus is on new products in the research reagents business. The company has particular expertise in the area of umbilical cord blood derived MSC which will represent a major future commercial source of these cells for large scale trials and commercial therapy.

Pro-Cure in PurStem
Proc-Cure contributes to several areas of scientific research within PurStem, and leads the activity on discovery of novel antibodies for the recognition of MSCs. This work will use the phage display library developed at NUIG and the germ-free chickens provided by Ovagen.
